Pleural effusion is a buildup of fluid between the tissues that lines the lungs and chest. It’s terribly painful to remove with the conventional vacuum canisters. BearPac has come up with a variable speed pump to remove this fluid.

We helped further understand the possibilities of this technology by exploring different concepts and user interactions with this product, refining our direction to testable prototypes that could be used for formative and summative testing and research. One of these concepts was developed into the final product on the market today.
